Intermediaries have offered Real Madrid star Trent Alexander-Arnold to Manchester City officials, with the English star reportedly keen to move to the Etihad Stadium in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Spanish media outlets have revealed that Alexander-Arnold is deeply disappointed at Real Madrid due to “unfulfilled promises,” and it has also been reported that Álvaro Arbeloa has advised him to look for another club.
According to TeamTalk, Alexander-Arnold’s name has been discussed at Manchester City, particularly as Pep Guardiola seeks to sign a new right-back.
City’s management has yet to make a final decision on whether to pursue the 27-year-old, but they are closely monitoring his situation at Real Madrid.
Arnold is open to a return to the Premier League, and given the unlikelihood of him joining Liverpool again, a move to Manchester City would likely be the best option for him.
The biggest obstacle to this deal remains Real Madrid’s demand for a hefty transfer fee, despite the fact that Trent Alexander-Arnold cost Los Blancos only €10 million last summer.
The England international is under contract with Real Madrid until the summer of 2029, and despite all the rumors, his chances of staying at the Santiago Bernabéu remain high, especially with Dani Carvajal expected to leave at the end of the current season.
