Manchester City has reached an agreement with Milan officials to sign Tijani Reynders, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Negotiations between City and Reynders began weeks ago at the request of coach Pep Guardiola, who is seeking to replace Kevin De Bruyne with another midfielder.
According to Romano, City has finalized an agreement with Milan to sign Reynders, in a deal estimated at €70 million.
Reynders will not be City’s only signing these days; the English club is close to finalizing another deal, namely the signing of Lyon star Rayan Cherki.
City has agreed to the transfer of the French player of Algerian origin, and all that remains is to reach an agreement with Lyon officials to complete the deal.
This deal will not be as expensive as the Reynders deal; rather, it is expected to reach a maximum value of €30 million, given Cherki has one year remaining on his contract with Lyon.
It is noteworthy that City is also looking to complete a third deal, namely Algerian Rayan Ait Nouri from Wolverhampton, to bolster the left-back position.
