Macron confirms the first crises between Mbappe and Real Madrid

French President Emmanuel Macron confirmed Kylian Mbappe’s desire to participate in the 2024 Paris Olympics with the French Olympic team, despite the difficulty of this happening.

Real Madrid had sent a letter to the French Football Federation confirming that it would not allow any of the French trio Aurelien Tchouameni, Eduardo Camavinga and Ferland Mendy to participate in the Olympics.

With Mbappe’s imminent joining of the Santiago Bernabéu, Real Madrid’s position will remain firm in not allowing the 25-year-old to accompany his country in the Olympics for fear of him being exhausted.

Macron said in this regard, “I hope that all European clubs will allow their players to participate in the Olympics, as the French clubs did. This is the Olympic spirit that we want.”

He also added, “I met Mbappe’s father last week and asked him about his participation in the Olympics, and he told me clearly that he wanted to participate in the tournament.”

This news reinforces a crisis that may erupt between Mbappe and Real Madrid in the coming period, in light of the player’s insistence on participating in the Olympics and the Spanish club’s adherence to its position rejecting the idea.

The Olympics will start on Friday, July 26, a few days after the end of Euro 2024, which Mbappe will play with the France national team, making his participation in Paris an announcement of his arrival to Real Madrid at the end of August with the start of the football season, without preparation and in a great state of exhaustion.
