Arda Guler almost scored his second goal for Real Madrid in a more than wonderful way while participating for a few minutes in the Osasuna match on Saturday.
The Turkish international replaced Vinicius Junior in the 85th minute, in the match that ended with the Royal Club winning 4-2 and strengthening its lead in La Liga.
Guler received the ball in the middle of the Real Madrid field, crossed it into the middle of the Osasuna field, and took advantage of the goalkeeper’s advance to shoot the ball toward the net.
Unfortunately for the 18-year-old, the ball hit the crossbar and did not enter the net, and even Fede Valverde was unable to complete it into the net after that.
Perhaps what most expresses the beauty of what Guler did and his bad luck at the same time is Vinicius’ reaction from the bench after the ball hit the crossbar.

Carlo Ancelotti commented after the match about the missed opportunity, saying, “It was like a goal for us. It did not matter that the ball did not enter the net. I felt that he really scored a goal.”
He concluded, “Very few players can try to score in this magical way. I have only seen very few players at this age with this confidence that Goal has.”
Guler had scored his first goal with Real Madrid in the last match against Celta Vigo in the last moments as well.
