Liverpool have reached an agreement with Juventus management to buy Federico Chiesa, making him the Reds’ second summer signing after Georgian goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili.
According to media reports, Liverpool will pay 13 million euros to buy Chiesa, who in turn immediately agreed to join the English club.
The Italian international will sign a 3-year contract at Anfield, and quickly expressed his happiness to wear the red shirt.
Chiesa said, “I am very happy and I cannot wait to become a Liverpool player, my family is also happy about this step.”
At the same time, the newspaper “L’Equipe” revealed that Liverpool’s moves in the late transfer window will not stop at Chiesa, but Arne Slot is seeking to add another player to his list.
We are talking here about Lyon player, Rayan Cherki, who was close to joining Borussia Dortmund before the German club withdrew from the deal.
Liverpool asked about the possibility of signing Cherki and consulted him and his agent, but it remains unknown whether the English club will definitely move to complete the deal or will be satisfied with signing Chiesa.
