Galatasaray have not closed the door on signing Eduardo Camavinga despite seeing their initial approach rebuffed during the summer transfer window, placing the Real Madrid midfielder back at the top of their target list ahead of January 2027.
According to Turkish outlet Fanatik, Galatasaray aim to secure the French international on loan during the winter window. However, Camavinga currently has no intention of departing Real Madrid, remaining committed to staying and competing for his place in the squad.
The Turkish champions’ interest in Camavinga is not recent. Journalist Matteo Moretto revealed that Galatasaray were prepared to offer over €50 million for a permanent transfer in the summer, but the player rejected the move out of a desire to prove himself at the Santiago Bernabéu.
The 23-year-old midfielder is under contract with Real Madrid until June 30, 2029, following an extension signed in November 2023. He initially arrived at the club from Rennes in the summer of 2021 on a six-year deal.
Camavinga has featured in five La Liga matches this season—starting twice and making three substitute appearances—logging a total of 221 minutes without recording a goal or an assist, according to official Real Madrid metrics.
Despite fierce midfield competition alongside Federico Valverde, Aurélien Tchouaméni, and Bernardo Silva, Camavinga has begun regaining the confidence of head coach José Mourinho, while also earning a recall to the French national squad following his absence from the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The midfielder reached his 200th appearance for Real Madrid last January, recording 137 victories and claiming 11 trophies, including two UEFA Champions League titles, two La Liga titles, and two FIFA Club World Cups.
With no agreement between Galatasaray and Real Madrid nor green light from Camavinga, any potential January move remains contingent on a shift in the player’s stance before financial structures or potential buy-out options can be discussed.
