Real Madrid player Toni Kroos renewed his attack on Saudi Arabia, when he confirmed that he could never play there for various reasons.
Kroos was subjected to severe booing when he played in the Spanish Super Cup with Real Madrid in Saudi Arabia after his statements in which he attacked the Saudi League, the entry of money into football, and other matters.
Kroos was asked in an interview with Cadena Ser about the Saudi booing whistles, and he replied, “They did not bother me at all. I really enjoyed these whistles, and this is what I will miss in football.”
He also added, “Everyone can have their opinion, and my opinion has never changed. I do not see myself playing in this country for reasons I have explained many times before. I cannot play in Saudi Arabia.”
At the same time, Kroos responded to Carlo Ancelotti’s nomination for him to win the Ballon d’Or if Real Madrid wins the Champions League and the player shines with the German national team in Euro 2024.
The 34-year-old said in this regard, “Carlo is always right, but throughout my career I never thought about individual awards, and I don’t do that now either.”
Kroos will play his last match with Real Madrid against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League final, then he will play his last tournament in his career with his country, Germany, over the months of June and July.
