Toni Kroos, the Real Madrid player, refused to make a final decision about his future in football and whether he will stay with the Royal Club for another year or retire at the end of Euro 2024.
Kroos returned to the German national team after international retirement, and will participate in two friendly matches during the current break in March.
During the press conference after his return, Kroos was asked if the Euro was his last participation with Germany, and he replied, “I have not thought about this matter yet.”
He also added, “There are many things that are unclear about what will happen after the Euro. I do not yet have a contract with any club for next season.”
He concluded, “I must first make the decision and clarify my future with the clubs, and then I can look into the national team.”
Real Madrid had offered the German player to continue for another year at the Santiago Bernabeu, but until now the Merengues have not received a response from him.
It is unlikely that Kroos will leave for another club, as according to everyone close to him, the 33-year-old wants to end his football career with a Real Madrid shirt.
