Jurgen Klopp’s agent, Marc Kosicke, has not hidden his frustration regarding the widespread rumors claiming his client agreed to manage Saudi club Al-Ittihad. Kosicke completely dismissed any possibility of the German tactician leaving his current role as Head of Global Soccer at Red Bull.
Tactical Demands or Pure Speculation?
Renowned journalist Sacha Tavolieri had previously claimed that Klopp was open to coaching the Saudi giants next season. However, the report suggested Klopp requested the move be delayed until October to ensure a smooth exit from his commitments with Red Bull.
Kosicke strictly shut down these claims in press statements on Monday, stating, “I am really angry about these fabrications.” He further added, “Everything being said about Klopp’s return to management is just annoying, baseless rumors.”
World Cup 2026 and Long-Term Plans
The agent’s firm response comes shortly after Klopp sparked intense curiosity by posting a video on his Instagram account teasing his next destination, only to later clarify that he was simply traveling to the United States to attend the 2026 World Cup.
Furthermore, Kosicke had recently closed the door on Klopp potentially taking over at Real Madrid if Enrique Riquelme wins the club’s presidential elections. This series of denials reaffirms that the 59-year-old manager remains fully committed to staying away from the dugout for the foreseeable future.
