Rumors have circulated in recent hours about Zamalek reaching an agreement with the famous Portuguese coach, Paulo Bento, to coach the White Castle next season.
Ayman El Ramady’s contract with Zamalek expired at the end of the previous season, and Hussein Labib’s management is currently searching for a new foreign coach.
Hours after the announcement of John Edward’s appointment as sporting director, it was reported that he had succeeded in reaching an agreement with Bento to coach Zamalek.
Several journalists contacted Bento, who denied all reports circulating in the Egyptian media about his agreement to coach Zamalek.
According to the famous Portuguese coach, he is currently on leave and has not received any offers from Zamalek, contrary to what has been reported.
At the same time, Bento confirmed that he is open to returning to work and is already considering some offers.
Bento is one of the most prominent Portuguese coaches in recent years, particularly known for his experience with Sporting Lisbon. He has also previously coached the Portuguese national team and the South Korean national team, and his most recent experience was with the UAE national team before his dismissal a few months ago.
