With his clinical strike against Paris Saint-Germain in the 2026 UEFA Champions League Final, Kai Havertz has officially entered the history books. By scoring for Arsenal tonight, following his 2021 winner for Chelsea, the German international has become only the third player ever to score in the final of the Champions League with two different teams.
Equaling the Legendary Cristiano Ronaldo
This specific record is one of the rarest in football, previously achieved only by Cristiano Ronaldo and Mario Mandžukić. Ronaldo famously scored in the 2008 final for Manchester United and the 2014 final for Real Madrid. Havertz now shares this legendary status, having proven his ability to deliver on the biggest stage for both London rivals.

Arsenal’s Final Legacy and English Records
Beyond equaling Ronaldo, Havertz’s goal is only the second in Arsenal’s history during a Champions League final, the first being Sol Campbell’s header back in 2006. Additionally, Havertz joins Ashley Cole as the only players to have appeared in the final of this competition for two different English clubs.
