France Football magazine has published the points each player received from journalists voting for the 2025 Ballon d’Or.
Ousmane Dembélé won the Ballon d’Or for the first time in his career, beating Lamine Yamal, while Vitina finished third, Mohamed Salah fourth, and Raphinha fifth.
There was some criticism of the ranking of some players, particularly Rafinha, but ultimately the vote is decided by 100 journalists from 100 countries around the world.
The editor-in-chief of France Football stated that there was virtually no competition between Dembélé and Yamal, and the numbers also demonstrate this.
According to the magazine, Dembélé received 73 out of 100 votes for first place, compared to only 11 for Yamal. The remaining first place votes were distributed between Vitinha (6 times), Mohamed Salah (4 times), Achraf Hakimi (3 times), Kylian Mbappé (once), and the two surprises: Kvaratskhelia and McTominay (once each).
