For the first time.. Dani Alves speaks after his release

Dani Alves, the Brazilian and Barcelona football legend, spoke for the first time to the media after his release from prison a few days ago.

Alves was sentenced to 4 and a half years in prison on charges of sexually assaulting a woman in Barcelona, before being released on bail of one million euros.

The Spanish newspaper “EL Periodico” met with Alves and asked him what he does in his life, and he replied, “I go to court every Friday. This is what I have to do. I have nothing else.”

He also added, “The game I have to play will remain in the courts.”

He continued, “I do not know how long the case will take, but what I am sure of is that I am innocent and will receive a ruling one day.”

He concluded, “Wherever I go, I stay alive and adapt to everything, because the place does not make the person, but the person makes the place.”

It is noteworthy that Alves filed an appeal against the ruling issued against him, and he still hopes to obtain an acquittal, despite the difficulty of doing so in practice.
