According to journalist Matías Palacios, Flick made his first phone call to Álvarez in recent hours, a move that underscores the Argentine player’s high value to the German coach and how the pair would benefit from working together.
During the call, Flick assured Álvarez that Barça’s biggest goal in the coming years is to win the Champions League title, and that the 26-year-old would be a key factor in making this dream a reality.
