Real Madrid star Endrick has decided which club he will join on loan next January.
The Real Madrid management had allowed the Brazilian star to look for a club to finish the season with in order to get playing time and thus maintain his hopes of participating in the 2026 World Cup with Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano reported that recent days have seen very positive negotiations between Lyon and Endrick, and the French club has become the club the 19-year-old aspires to join in the upcoming winter transfer window.
Real Madrid welcomes loaning Endrick to Lyon, as this would allow him to play for a prestigious club and experience the pressure of the fans. His success would ultimately mean that the Royal Club would gain a star and additional support in the center-forward position next season.
Lyon are expected to submit their official offer to Real Madrid next week to sign Andrej on loan without any option to buy. Negotiations will then commence and are expected to proceed smoothly given the player’s own desire to join the Stade Vélodrome.
Endrick was sidelined until last October due to a muscle injury, and Xabi Alonso confirmed his desire to give him playing time. However, the decision ultimately rests with the player, and given the fierce competition for his position, a move seems unlikely at present.
