The draw for the Round of 32 of the 2025-26 Egypt Cup took place on Saturday evening, determining each team’s path to the final.
Zamalek fans, in particular, were eagerly awaiting the draw, given the possibility of facing G, a team led by Zamalek legend Mahmoud Abdel-Razek Shikabala.
However, Zamalek will not face G. The draw resulted in a more manageable match against Baladeyet El Mahalla, a team struggling in the Egyptian Premier League this season.
Meanwhile, Zamalek received a relatively easier draw than Al Ahly, as they will not face Pyramids, unlike the Red Devils.
Al Ahly will begin their campaign against Telecom Egypt, while Pyramids will play against Masar. The two teams could only meet in the semifinals if they win their respective Round of 16 and Quarterfinal matches.
As for Zamalek, if they reach the semi-finals, they will most likely face Al Masry. However, Zamalek’s task will be difficult in the Round of 16, where they will most likely face Ceramica Cleopatra.
