Liverpool were knocked out of the Champions League quarter-finals by Paris Saint-Germain, a week after being eliminated from the FA Cup by Manchester City, and before that from the Carabao Cup, in addition to finishing fifth in the Premier League.

Over the past few months, amid these poor results, Liverpool have been linked with former Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso, with reports suggesting he would replace Slot at the end of the season.

However, recent reports indicate that Liverpool’s owners support Slot’s continued tenure, and even if he fails to secure Champions League qualification for next season, there are no plans to dismiss him.

The club believes Slott deserves to remain at Anfield based on his performance last season, considering that this season the team has suffered from numerous injuries and bad luck, and the manager has not received all of his transfer requests.

Slott will remain Liverpool’s manager and will have full authority to manage the upcoming summer transfer window to compensate for the departures of Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson and strengthen the defense. Afterward, his performance can be fully assessed and evaluated fairly.

Despite these assurances, the possibility of Slot’s departure remains, especially given the intense calls from fans for him to leave. The remaining Premier League matches will be crucial in determining his future.
