Their first victory arrived in a 2-0 win over Manchester United, marking Hull’s return to the top flight after a nine-year absence and making Jakirovic the first Bosnian manager to record a win in Premier League history. Hull then capped off their dream start with a 1-0 win over Coventry via Liam Millar’s 82nd-minute winner, ending August in second place.
The award serves as the latest chapter in Jakirovic’s rise after taking charge in the summer of 2025 and guiding the club to promotion through the Championship play-offs in his debut season.
