Bukayo Saka continues to etch his name into the history books of the England national team, raising his World Cup goal tally to 6 goals across the Qatar 2022 and North America 2026 editions.
The Arsenal winger achieved this milestone after scoring a sensational hat-trick during England’s match against France on Sunday morning to decide the third-place playoff of the 2026 World Cup, adding a historic treble to his international tournament record.
With this hat-trick, Saka has officially surpassed England legend David Beckham, who scored 3 goals across his three World Cup appearances for the Three Lions between 1998, 2002, and 2006.
Saka scored his first three World Cup goals during the Qatar 2022 edition. He netted a brace against Iran in England’s 6-2 group stage victory, followed by a crucial goal against Senegal in a 3-0 win during the Round of 16.
In the 2026 edition, Saka waited until the third-place decider against Les Bleus to secure his fourth, fifth, and sixth career World Cup goals, firmly moving ahead of Beckham in the ranks of England’s all-time top World Cup goalscorers.
The 24-year-old star has now brought his overall tally for England to 15 goals in 55 international caps since making his senior debut in 2020, further cementing his status as one of the elite attacking pillars of this current generation under manager Thomas Tuchel.
