Jude Bellingham entered history after scoring England’s winning goal over Serbia in the opening of the Triple Lions’ matches in the Euro 2024 competition.
First of all, Bellingham became the first player in European history to play in 3 consecutive major tournaments before he turned 21 after participating in Euro 2020 and the 2022 World Cup.
According to the Opta network, with his goal against Serbia, Bellingham became the first English player to score in the World Cup and Euros while playing outside the English Premier League.
Regarding the goal, the Real Madrid star told the media after the match, “I am used to entering the penalty area with the club, and I want to continue my good form in the European Championship.”
He concluded, “It is a great start for me personally to increase my self-confidence. Helping the players achieve victory is the most important thing.”
It is noteworthy that Bellingham scored 23 goals and assisted 13 others with Real Madrid in all tournaments this season, winning the La Liga and Champions League titles and becoming a candidate for the Ballon d’Or.
