Because of Guardiola… Slot a candidate to coach a European giant!

Dutch media outlets have reported that Liverpool manager Arne Slot could take over at one of Europe’s top clubs next season, and the reason behind this lies with Pep Guardiola.

According to reports, Guardiola is on his way out of Manchester City at the end of the current season, and the English club has identified current Bayern Munich manager Vincent Kompany as the ideal candidate to succeed him.

The Belgian coach’s contract with Bayern Munich extends for another three years, but given the strong interest from his former club, Manchester City, Kompany might pressure the Germans to allow him to return to the Etihad Stadium.

The Bavarian giants’ management is preparing for all possible scenarios, and therefore has identified Arne Slot as the top candidate to succeed Kompany should he move to Manchester City.

While it is true that Liverpool’s performance has declined significantly this season under Slot, Bayern Munich’s management is very convinced of the Dutchman’s abilities, after his success in leading the Reds to the Premier League title last year, as well as his previous successes in the Dutch league.

It is worth noting that Slot will most likely leave Liverpool’s coaching position at the end of the current season, and Xabi Alonso remains the favorite to succeed him at Anfield.
