Barcelona has practically lost the opportunity to sign Liverpool star Luis Díaz, following a decision made by Joan Laporta’s administration in this regard.
Bayern Munich is actively trying to sign Díaz and submitted a substantial offer to Liverpool worth €67.5 million. However, the Reds rejected the offer outright and want at least €100 million to agree to sell the player.
According to Sport, Barcelona’s management has decided not to enter into bidding with any other club to sign the Colombian player or any other player due to the dire economic situation at Camp Nou.
Barcelona has set a maximum value of €60 million for Díaz, which is practically impossible due to Liverpool’s insistence on a higher value and Bayern Munich’s greater financial capabilities.
Barça officials are aware that the chances of signing Diaz are extremely slim, especially since the player reached an agreement with Bayern Munich on personal details in the last few hours and has already informed Liverpool of his desire to move to the Allianz Arena.
Barça is exploring other options in the summer transfer market, led by Manchester United star Marcus Rashford, who is willing to take a pay cut to join Barça, and he would cost the club no more than €40 million.
