Carlo Ancelotti, Real Madrid’s coach, believes that only the Royal Club’s fans have a passion for their team’s shirt and do not care about a player, whatever his name.
The Italian coach’s speech came in response to a question about the extent of Real Madrid fans’ eagerness and passion to include Kylian Mbappe after a number of Merengue players spoke about that.
“Real Madrid fans only have passion for their team’s shirt and nothing else,” Ancelotti said in the press conference for the Athletic Bilbao match.
He also added, “The Real Madrid shirt makes the fans very happy and excited at all times and situations.”
He concluded, “It is not about the arrival of a specific player or any player in general. The Real Madrid shirt is the biggest motivator for the fans.”
The indication remains that Mbappe will join Real Madrid next summer after the end of his contract with Paris Saint-Germain, and Ancelotti’s statements are always diplomatic until the official announcement comes from the club about the deal.
