Liverpool’s management continues its relentless search for a successor to Mohamed Salah on the right wing, and a Premier League star has recently entered the Reds’ radar.
Salah had announced his departure from Liverpool at the end of the current season, and the English club decided to allow him to terminate his contract, which runs until the summer of 2027, and leave for free.
In recent days, several names have been mentioned, most notably Bayern Munich’s Michael Ulise and RB Leipzig’s Yann Diomande, although acquiring either of them would entail hefty sums that could exceed €100 million.
Liverpool is considering signing Eliamin Ndiaye
According to English media reports, Everton’s Eliamin Ndiaye is at the top of the list of candidates to succeed the “Egyptian King” at Anfield.
Ndiaye’s experience in the Premier League, coupled with his diverse technical abilities and powerful bursts of speed, is attracting Liverpool’s management, especially since he wouldn’t cost as much as other signings from outside England.
The Senegalese international already possesses everything Liverpool currently needs to replace Salah. He has great speed and agility, and he can play in multiple positions. Furthermore, his young age (only 26) makes him a perfect fit for the club’s transfer philosophy.
A major surprise… Slott will remain Liverpool’s manager next season!
Ndiaye is attracting interest from several top clubs
Liverpool will face stiff competition if they truly want to sign Ndiaye, who is attracting significant interest from several major clubs both within and outside England.
Recent reports indicate that Manchester United, in particular, is making a strong push to secure the signature of the Lions of Teranga star and will make a major push for him next summer.
Besides United, Juventus officials have identified Ndiaye as a potential option to bolster their attack under Luciano Spalletti’s new project. However, the Italian giants’ current limited financial resources make such a deal unlikely.
Everton’s stance on selling Ndiaye next summer
Meanwhile, Everton will do everything in their power to keep Ndiaye for the long term. The Toffees’ management is already working on offering him a new contract with double his salary to convince him to stay with David Moyes’ squad for at least another season.
Furthermore, Everton’s management is unwilling to hand over a world-class player to their arch-rivals, Liverpool, regardless of the financial offer, which significantly reduces their neighbor’s chances of signing Ndiaye.
Everton is practically in a very strong position, as the player’s contract with the Toffees runs until the summer of 2029, and he earns a substantial salary of €2.8 million annually.
Ndiaye’s Journey with Everton
Ndiaye began his career in France before moving to England. His real breakthrough came with Sheffield United, where he shone brightly, prompting Marseille to pay €17 million to acquire him in the summer of 2023.
In the summer of 2024, Everton purchased the Senegalese player’s contract for €18 million. While the atmosphere at Goodison Park was challenging last season, Ndiaye’s talent has truly blossomed this season.
This season, Ndiaye has played 25 Premier League matches, scoring 6 goals and providing 3 assists. His current market value is estimated at €50 million.
Ndiaye made his international debut for Senegal in June 2022, participating in the Qatar World Cup. Since then, he has played 38 international matches, scoring 4 goals, and was part of the Lions of Teranga who won the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
