The Mirror revealed Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim’s decision regarding Marcus Rashford’s return from his loan spell at the end of this season to wear the Red Devils jersey next season.
Disagreements arose from Amorim’s first moments at Old Trafford with Rashford, and the England international eventually left on loan to Aston Villa, where he performed well enough to earn a recall to the England squad.
According to the latest report, even if the 27-year-old performs more effectively in the remainder of the season, there is no intention of him returning, and this chapter is now completely closed for Amorim.
United’s management is currently looking to sell Rashford for up to £60 million, a figure that would likely resolve several of the club’s critical financial crises following Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s revelation of the Red Devils’ dire financial situation.
United’s management also hopes Rashford’s form continues to increase, increasing his market value. However, Aston Villa still has the upper hand in signing the England international next summer for just £40 million.
It should be noted that Rashford has yet to score for Unai Emery’s side, but he has provided four assists in nine appearances and has led his team to the Champions League quarter-finals.
