Italian media outlets have reported that Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker has reached an agreement with Juventus on personal terms for a move to the Bianconeri this summer.
The Brazilian goalkeeper’s contract with Liverpool runs until the summer of 2027, but an early departure is possible given his frequent injuries and advancing age.
According to recent reports, Juventus management has been in negotiations with Alisson, and the player has expressed his desire to return to Serie A with the Old Lady.
Money remains the biggest obstacle to completing the deal. Despite the agreement between Alisson and Juventus, the Italian club is unwilling to pay Liverpool a large sum for the veteran goalkeeper.
The website Foot Mercato claims that Liverpool is open to selling for a fee between €10 and €15 million, while Juventus is demanding a lower price.
Juventus have further angered Liverpool by demanding that Alisson’s contract be terminated, similar to what happened with Mohamed Salah, hoping to sign him for free with a promise of a huge transfer bonus.
The coming weeks are expected to bring a breakthrough between the two clubs, either with Juventus agreeing to pay Liverpool’s asking price, or with Alisson pressuring them to lower the fee or terminate his contract.
It’s worth noting that Alisson isn’t Juventus’ only target from Liverpool this summer. Other reports indicate negotiations are underway with Mohamed Salah, as the Italian giants seek to return to title contention after six disastrous years in Turin.
