Journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed that the Real Madrid administration has renewed Lucas Vazquez’s contract for another year, and it is a matter of time and the matter will be officially announced.
Vasquez’s contract was expiring at the end of this season, and there was a state of doubt about the future of the Spanish star, but his recent brilliance opened the door for him to continue for another year.
According to Romano, all the details have been agreed upon with Vázquez, and the player will hold a meeting in the coming hours with Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez during which he will sign his new contracts.
At the same time, Vázquez is not the only player who will continue with Real Madrid for another year, as the Royal Club has decided to buy out Joselu’s contract from Espanyol.
Joselu’s loan stipulates that the Merengues have the right to buy the player this summer for only 1.5 million euros, and after the levels presented by the Spanish striker, the management decided to activate this clause.
Since Joselu, like Vazquez, is over 30 years old, he will receive a new one-year contract, which can be renewed if he continues to perform well on the field.
It is worth noting that the Real Madrid administration also completed its agreement with Luka Modric to renew his contract for another year, pending the official announcement of that, Vasquez and Joselu during the next week.
