After condemning “political power,” Al-Hilal files a complaint against Jesus

Al-Hilal Club announced that it is preparing to file an official complaint against Al-Nassr coach Jorge Jesus due to his hostile statements against the Blue Wave.

Jesus had spoken about what he called “Al-Hilal’s political power,” considering it the reason for the team’s success this season, following Al-Nassr’s 3-1 loss to Al-Hilal in last week’s derby.

In an official statement, Al-Hilal wrote, “The club’s company expressed its condemnation of the irresponsible media statements made by Al-Nassr’s Portuguese coach, Jorge Jesus, regarding Al-Hilal Club.”

It added, “These statements included unacceptable fabrications, especially given the unprecedented sporting renaissance that the Kingdom’s sports are experiencing, thanks to the great attention it receives from the wise leadership – may God protect them – which has contributed to making Saudi football attractive to stars and fans from all over the world, with competitive levels that rival the major international competitions.”

The statement concluded, “The club stressed its confidence that the relevant sports authorities will take appropriate action regarding these unjustified and provocative statements, which also harm the Saudi sports project. The club confirmed that it is preparing to file an official complaint with the relevant authorities to take the necessary measures.”

Al-Hilal currently leads the Saudi league standings by seven points over Al-Nassr, who started the season perfectly with 10 wins in their first ten matches before suffering three consecutive defeats and losing their top spot.

Jesus has previously managed Al-Hilal in two separate stints and is considered one of the most prominent coaches in the club’s history, making such statements particularly surprising coming from him.
