Inter Milan staged a remarkable comeback, overturning a two-goal deficit to secure a thrilling 3-2 victory over Como. Hakan Çalhanoğlu scored twice, and Petar Sučić added another goal, sending the Nerazzurri to the Coppa Italia final.
The first leg at the Stadio Sant’Agata had ended in a goalless draw, leaving the tie finely poised for extra time or a penalty shootout.
Inter were without Lautaro Martínez and Alessandro Bastoni due to injury, while Luis Henrique replaced Denzel Dumfries.
Just as they had in their league match on April 12th, Inter rallied from a 2-0 deficit to take the lead and secure their place in the final, keeping their hopes of a domestic double alive.
Inter Milan currently leads the Italian league by a significant margin and will be crowned champions in no more than two rounds, reclaiming the title held by Napoli last year.
Inter will await the winner of tomorrow’s match between Lazio and Atalanta at the Gewiss Stadium in the Coppa Italia final. The first leg between the two sides in Rome ended in a 2-2 draw.
The final is scheduled for May 13th at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.
