Real Madrid received some very good news hours before their Champions League match against Juventus and days before their highly anticipated La Liga match against Barcelona next Sunday.
As newspaper reported that Trent Alexander-Arnold is now 100% medically fit and could return to Real Madrid’s squad, starting with the Juventus match on Wednesday.
The England international participated in a partial training session with Real Madrid on Monday, and coach Xabi Alonso checked on his fitness. If nothing happens, he should be included in the squad that will travel to Italy to face Juventus.
Arnold was injured last month in the Champions League match against Marseille, and initial reports suggested he would be out for at least two months. However, the 25-year-old has surprised everyone and made a record-breaking recovery.
Arnold’s return is crucial for Real Madrid, given the injury to captain Dani Carvajal, which has left the club without a right-back. Alonso has been forced to rely on Fede Valverde or Raúl Asensio in that position in recent matches.
