A new star takes the lead… Champions League top scorers after Matchday 4

Harry Kane, Kylian Mbappé, and Marcus Rashford failed to score in Matchday 4 of the 2025-26 Champions League, opening the door for some changes in the competition’s top scorers rankings.

On the other hand, Erling Haaland was as brilliant as ever this season, scoring in Manchester City’s emphatic 4-1 victory over Borussia Dortmund at the Etihad Stadium, bringing his goal contribution to 30 in 17 appearances this season.

But the biggest standout performer was undoubtedly Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, who netted a hat-trick for Galatasaray against Ajax.

Lamine Yamal also scored a spectacular goal in Barcelona’s disappointing 3-3 draw with Club Brugge, while Mohamed Salah failed to find the net as Liverpool secured a 1-0 win over Real Madrid at Anfield.

Here’s a quick look at the Champions League top scorers rankings after Matchday 4.
