According to British journalist Ben Jacobs, both parties are currently discussing Benzema’s position within the squad, while Al-Hilal re-evaluates its attacking options during the summer transfer window.

The 38-year-old Ballon d’Or winner insists on receiving guarantees regarding a regular starting spot. He is unwilling to stay if he falls out of the manager’s plans or is relegated to a limited role on the bench.

Furthermore, Benzema strictly rejects the proposed scenario of being registered exclusively for the AFC Champions League Elite while being left out of the Saudi Pro League (SPL) roster.

Meanwhile, Al-Hilal continues to explore options to sign a new center-forward and remains open to parting ways with the French star if a suitable offer arrives—leaving Benzema’s future wide open.

Although Benzema’s appearance in Al-Hilal’s new kit reveal hinted at a possible stay, it does not offer a final confirmation given the absence of an official club statement.

Benzema joined Al-Hilal last February on an 18-month contract, scoring 9 goals in 10 appearances in the Saudi Pro League. However, the new season could begin without “El Nueve” unless a mutually satisfying agreement is reached.
