According to Arriyadiyah newspaper, Al-Hilal FC has officially contacted Paris Saint-Germain to inquire about the possibility of signing Ousmane Dembélé during the current summer transfer window.
Contract Stalemate Between Dembélé and Paris Saint-Germain
The World Cup winner’s contract with PSG runs until the summer of 2028. However, contract renewal negotiations with the French club have reportedly hit a stalemate due to disagreements over financial terms.
Al-Hilal has moved swiftly to secure Dembélé’s signature in what would be the most high-profile Saudi Pro League transfer in the last two years. Nevertheless, the deal remains highly complex at the moment due to the massive expected financial package.
The “Blue Wave” is currently awaiting an official response from Paris Saint-Germain to initiate formal negotiations and submit an official financial bid.
Market Value and Financial Demands for the French Winger
Dembélé’s market value is currently estimated at €100 million, and PSG is highly unlikely to accept anything less for the 29-year-old winger—if not demanding significantly more.
With recent rumors suggesting that Michael Olise could cost Real Madrid up to €150 million, questions are being raised about the astronomical fee PSG might demand to part ways with a player their management considers “the best in the world.”
Reports indicate that Dembélé is demanding a whopping €60 million annually to renew his contract, while PSG’s latest offer has stalled at just €30 million per season.
