Former Liverpool manager Arne Slot has reportedly turned down an official offer from AC Milan to take over the Rossoneri dugout next season as Massimiliano Allegri’s successor.
The Dutch tactician was heavily linked with a move to the San Siro immediately following his dismissal from Liverpool. However, it appears Slot prefers to take some time off and reflect before deciding on the next chapter of his managerial career.
According to Italian media outlets, contact was established between AC Milan’s board and Slot over the past few hours. The manager explicitly informed the Rossoneri hierarchy that he does not feel ready to jump straight into a demanding new project so soon after his intense and exhausting tenure at Liverpool.
