AC Milan’s Portuguese winger Rafael Leao has emerged as one of the most sought-after players in the current summer transfer window, with six Premier League clubs reportedly keeping a close eye on his situation.
Manchester United and Tottenham Lead the Race for Leao
According to Foot Mercato, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are the frontrunners in the pursuit of the 27-year-old winger. Arsenal, Liverpool, Newcastle United, and Chelsea are also monitoring developments closely, with some clubs already making inquiries about personal terms.
Beyond England, Turkish giants Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray have also expressed interest in signing one of Europe’s most talented attackers.
Milan’s Asking Price and Leao’s Contract Situation
AC Milan had previously set Rafael Leao’s price tag at €60 million. The Portuguese international, whose contract runs until the summer of 2028, has publicly expressed his desire to leave the San Siro, citing unbearable pressure during last season.
This stance is expected to give him leverage and push his transfer fee significantly lower.
Barcelona Dream Fades as Gordon Seals the Deal
Leao had long dreamed of joining FC Barcelona, but that door appears firmly shut after the Catalan club signed former Newcastle winger Anthony Gordon for €80 million, leaving no room for the AC Milan star in their attacking setup.
