English press reports indicate that City’s management is aware that the end of the Guardiola era is imminent, especially since the manager has informed those close to him that this season will be his last at the Etihad Stadium.

City has already begun preparing for the post-Guardiola era, starting with a near-final agreement with former Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca to succeed him.

The English club’s management intends to honor Guardiola in a special way for all he has accomplished, and discussions are already underway to name one of the stands at the Etihad Stadium after him, commemorating him as the best and most important manager in the Citizens’ history.

Although journalists are aware of all this information, no one intends to risk publishing the news before Guardiola himself announces it, due to his unpredictable nature, which could lead him to change his mind and stay for another year with Manchester City.

Guardiola is expected to make his final decision after the last Premier League match on May 24th, and perhaps if he succeeds in winning the title, he will prefer to end his Premier League career on the best possible note.
