The Egyptian international played in Al Ahly’s last match against Pyramids, when the Red Devils suffered a heavy 3-0 defeat.

According to recent reports, the 30-year-old is suffering from hamstring pain and has been undergoing rehabilitation training for the past few hours.

Zizo’s availability for the match against his former club is still uncertain, but it is widely believed that he will miss the game to avoid risking further injury, which could ultimately rule him out of the 2026 World Cup.

Since joining Al Ahly, Zizo has played 26 matches across all competitions, scoring 4 goals and providing 8 assists.

The upcoming Zamalek match is of paramount importance to Al Ahly. Another defeat would officially mean the Red Devils have lost the Egyptian Premier League title, in addition to missing out on the CAF Champions League for the first time in the club’s history.

Zamalek leads the Egyptian league standings with 50 points, three points ahead of second-placed Pyramids, and six points ahead of Al-Ahly in third place, with three rounds remaining in the competition.
