The club believes their potential departures will facilitate several signings that the management considers a priority for strengthening the squad.

The situation seems quite clear regarding Ferran Torres; although his contract runs until 2027, the club has not yet offered him a renewal, a strong indication of his declining status within the Catalan team.

With only one year remaining on his contract at the end of next season, selling him is seen as a financially attractive deal, both in terms of the transfer fee and the reduction of his wage bill.

As for Casado, last summer the club approached him to gauge his intentions, and a direct conversation took place between him and Hansi Flick. The coach wanted to know his plans, and the player’s response was unequivocal: “I’m staying.” Since then, the deal was considered closed, but Casado’s name hasn’t disappeared from the transfer market, with several clubs expressing strong interest, most notably Atlético Madrid, who made an offer last January.

Barcelona’s sporting director, Deco, is looking to sign a new world-class striker, along with a central defender and a left winger, and also wants Robert Lewandowski to stay for another year.
