Paris Saint-Germain Yields to Mbappé

French newspaper L’Équipe reported that Paris Saint-Germain paid another installment of Kylian Mbappé’s outstanding wages within the next few hours.

Mbappé had sued PSG, demanding €61 million in unpaid wages from February to July 2024, which the club withheld once they learned of his decision to transfer to Real Madrid.

Mbappé won the case, and PSG began paying the outstanding amount, with the latest payment being €4 million.

In total, Paris Saint-Germain has paid €59 million of Mbappé’s outstanding wages, and the French club hopes to persuade the player’s representatives to waive the remaining €2 million.

The Real Madrid star refuses to negotiate even on his outstanding payments, and his representatives have threatened to send the bailiff again with a new payment order if the remaining €2 million is not paid immediately.

Paris Saint-Germain officials have not given up hope, as they intend to appeal the court ruling and demand the full amount be returned, even though the legal situation is not in Nasser Al-Khelaifi’s favor.

According to the French newspaper, Mbappé is refusing any form of mediation or amicable settlement, insisting on receiving his full financial entitlements after a year and a half of legal proceedings.
