Follarin Balogun scored the fastest goal ever conceded by Paris Saint-Germain in the French club’s history in European competitions.
Monaco faced PSG at the Stade Louis II in the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie on Tuesday.
Just 55 seconds into the match, Balogun headed home a cross, powerfully directing the ball past Russian goalkeeper Safonov.
This goal became the fastest conceded by Paris Saint-Germain in European competition, and also the fastest goal Monaco has ever scored in the Champions League.
Balogun then doubled Monaco’s lead in the 17th minute.
With this goal, Balogun became the highest-scoring American player in Champions League history, with five goals, surpassing current AC Milan star Christian Pulisic.
