Barcelona confirmed in an official statement that Ferran Torres will miss Wednesday’s Champions League match against Slavia Prague due to injury.
Torres experienced pain after the recent match against Real Sociedad, and after undergoing the necessary medical tests, he was diagnosed with a semimembranosus muscle injury in his right leg. He will need at least ten days to recover and return to play.
In addition to missing the Slavia Prague match, Barça will also be without their top scorer for the La Liga match against Real Oviedo next Sunday and the Champions League match against Copenhagen the following Wednesday.
Despite the bad news regarding Torres, Barcelona received positive news, as Rafinha was given the green light to play against Slavia Prague after missing the last match against Real Sociedad as a precautionary measure due to muscle discomfort.
