He also became the first French player to score 37 goals in a single calendar year in Europe’s top five leagues since Tadej Sciuszkie with Racing Club in 1956, when he scored 40.
The Real Madrid star has a great opportunity to surpass Tadej’s record, as he has three more La Liga matches before the new year, against Celta Vigo, Deportivo Alavés, and Sevilla.
