Real Madrid has released an official statement announcing the nature of Eder Militao’s recent injury sustained while on international duty with Brazil.
Militao played in Brazil’s friendly match against Tunisia before leaving the field with a muscle injury that appeared serious, judging by his angry expression.
According to the club’s statement, Militao is suffering from a muscle injury in his right adductor muscle, and his return will depend on the speed of his recovery.
Marca reports that Militao will be sidelined for at least two weeks, and a maximum of three.
The newspaper stated that Militao’s primary goal is to be available for Real Madrid’s Champions League match against Manchester City on December 10th.
Therefore, the Brazilian international will miss La Liga matches against Girona, Athletic Bilbao, Celta Vigo, and Elche, as well as the Champions League fixture against Olympiacos.
It is worth noting that Real Madrid are suffering from a shortage in the center-back position due to Antonio Rudiger’s injury, but the reassuring news is that Dean Hoesen is expected to be ready immediately for next Sunday’s match despite his injury with the Spanish national team.
