Manchester City crushed Liverpool 3-0 at the Etihad Stadium, in the final match of Matchday 11 of the Premier League.
This round was particularly noteworthy, as it saw Arsenal stumble a rare slip-up this season, drawing 2-2 with Sunderland on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Manchester United nearly broke into the top four, but drew 2-2 with Tottenham, remaining close to the top of the table.
Newcastle suffered a resounding defeat, while Chelsea secured a crucial victory that brought them much closer to the top. Bournemouth also suffered an unexpected loss against a struggling Aston Villa side.
