This date is likely to be finalized, as Spain is expected to qualify for the 2026 World Cup during the November international break, meaning they will have no official matches in March, thus allowing the match to proceed as scheduled.
The Argentine national team is currently seeking to agree on a friendly match to be held before the Finalissima Cup, also in Qatar, during the upcoming March break, in preparation for the big match against Spain, and as part of Lionel Scaloni’s squad’s preparations for the 2026 World Cup.
