Real Madrid’s Tchouaméni and Valverde Out for Time Revealed

Real Madrid received mixed news, one good and one bad, after their 1-0 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield in the Champions League.

Fede Valverde revealed to the media that his substitution in the final minutes of the match was due to pain, and he underwent medical tests in the past few hours to determine the nature of his injury.

According to AS, Valverde is not injured and should be available for Sunday’s match against Rayo Vallecano.

However, the bad news is that another key player, Aurélien Tchouaméni, has also suffered an injury.

According to an official Real Madrid statement, the Frenchman sustained a hamstring injury in his left leg, which he also suffered during the Liverpool match, despite playing the full 90 minutes.

AS reports that Tchouaméni will need at least three weeks to recover and return to action for Real Madrid.

The 24-year-old will miss France’s upcoming international matches, as well as the games against Elche, Olympiacos, and Girona, with his return expected at San Mamés against Athletic Bilbao on December 3.

Tchouaméni thus joins Real Madrid’s growing injury list, which already includes Antonio Rüdiger, David Alaba, and Franco Mastantonu.
