Manchester City reached an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain to sign goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma in the final days of the summer transfer window.
In recent weeks, PSG decided to end Donnarumma’s stay at the Parc des Princes after renewal negotiations between the two parties reached a dead end.
City is looking for a new goalkeeper after James Trafford failed to fill the gap, and in light of the expected departure of Ederson to Galatasaray.
City agreed with Donnarumma about two weeks ago on all the details, but there was a significant disagreement between the English club and its French counterpart over the value of the deal.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the two clubs ultimately reached an agreement, with City paying between €30 and €35 million.
Initially, Paris wanted €50 million, but under pressure to leave, the French club lowered their demands and the deal was completed.
Donnarumma will travel to England on Monday and undergo a medical before his move to City is officially announced tonight, as expected.
