Alejandro Garnacho is putting pressure on Manchester United by all means to allow him to move to Chelsea, this time with a direct threat from the Argentine star to the Red Devils’ management.
United manager Ruben Amorim announced that Garnacho is not in his plans for the new season, while the player insists on only one option to leave the English club: a move to another giant, Chelsea.
According to English media reports, Garnacho has made it very clear to the United management that he only wants to move to Chelsea, and if that fails, he is willing to spend the entire next season on the bench.
Garnacho’s threat comes in an attempt to force Manchester United to agree to a lower asking price, as Old Trafford officials still want £70 million, while Chelsea’s offer has stopped at just £50 million.
Renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano reported that negotiations between the two clubs have begun in the final hours, and that both parties hope to reach an agreement before the end of this week for Garnacho to be present with the Blues in the Premier League opener next week.
It’s worth noting that Chelsea has agreed on all personal terms with the 21-year-old player, and that coach Enzo Maresca is the one who requested his signing by name, thus ensuring a starting spot for the Blues in the new season.
