Bayern Munich legend Thomas Müller has decided on his next step after his career with the Bavarian club officially ends at the end of the 2025 Club World Cup.
Müller had agreed with Bayern Munich not to renew his contract with the German club and to remain content with his legendary career spanning over 15 years at the Allianz Arena.
German media speculated that the 35-year-old Müller might be heading towards retirement from football.
However, according to Sky Sports Germany, the German legend has decided to continue his career, but outside of Europe, specifically wanting to play in the MLS before retiring.
Müller already has two American offers: one from Los Angeles FC and the other from an undisclosed club. The player is expected to announce his new club within a week to ten days at most.
This will be Müller’s first experience outside of Bayern Munich. The MLS has long been attractive to many German stars, the most recent being Marco Reus, who has been playing for Los Angeles Galaxy for two years.
It’s worth noting that Müller has made 756 appearances for Bayern Munich in all competitions, scoring 250 goals and providing 276 assists, while winning numerous individual and team titles. He is already ranked among the top five players in the history of the southern German giants.
