Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has decided to end his career in the Saudi League and return to Europe, despite a huge offer from Al-Ettifaq.
Aubameyang terminated his contract with Al-Qadisiyah by mutual consent, as the Saudi club wanted to sign a younger striker.
The Gabonese striker immediately received a substantial two-year offer from Al-Ettifaq. The salary was reportedly close to what he was receiving at Al-Qadisiyah, with numerous benefits that seemed very tempting.
Ultimately, Aubameyang rejected the Saudi offer and decided to return to the French League with his former club, Marseille. He finalized all the details with Al-Janoub.
The 26-year-old Aubameyang has previously played 51 matches for Marseille, scoring 30 goals and providing 11 assists.
In 2024, Aubameyang moved to Al-Qadisiyah, where he played 36 matches in all competitions, scoring 21 goals and providing 3 assists.
